DJ D.Beam Showcase @ Scratch Invaders, Barcelona, Spain 16th Nov '14

I was quite excited (to say the least) about this event, from the moment the organizers of Barcelona's monthly open-turntable scratch sessions @ Scratch Invaders announced it - D.Beam is definitely one of the worldwide Scratch Elite, I think I'd be hard-pushed to find anyone to challenge me on that!

A new monthly open decks night has started in Barcelona called Scratch Invaders, and whilst I'm happy to support anything scratch-related anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to hear Barcelona's own DJ Swet, fresh from releasing his banging debut scratch album "Agoraphobia", would be putting on a showcase.

so you think you can rock a party? Yeah, so did I till I saw this Shortkut set. Everyone and their dog seems to have done a Boiler Room set but from the ones I've seen this is the best so far for me, and possibly pips the DJ Shadow and Mr Thing ones which I'd also recommend. Don't miss the serious dance moves at 39:30 by the Peanut Butter Wolf lookalike!

Damn, enjoyed watching this… Been a while since I saw DJ's Dopey, D-Scratch and Grouch, so pleased to see them still representing on the cut. Such a dope set-up too getting so many DJs arranged facing each other in true battle style…Would love something like that here in Barcelona! Canada has just been churning out those dope turntablists for a while now… makes you wonder what's in the water over there!
