Instagram - Why I'm a big fan and which accounts I follow

Been using various social media applications for years to either plug my own DJ work or follow other musicians I admire, however much like the Myspace days I've come to the end of the road with Facebook....

I know everyone on Instagram's a DJ nowadays, but here's why rarely a day passes for me without quickly checking my IG and some DJ profiles that stand out from the rest....

DJ Vekked on the Mikidz Show (13 June 2016)

A great chance to see reigning world DMC champ Vekked away from his natural habitat of destroying the competition on stage at DJ battles. DMC Online 2016 Final Round - Review

I'm always really keen to check the DMC online finalist's videos and even more so this year that I got some time to put a routine together myself.

I thought Skillz and Throdown would storm my round (round 6) and it seems they did, although I liked Throdown's 2 minutes slightly ahead of Skillz, but the judges thought otherwise.

The following top 5 are my choices (in no way linked to the judges' scores) along with some of my observations, sick routines throughout!!

DMC Heavy Hitters bless Super Scratch Sunday ft VEKKED, JON 1ST & MR SWITCH (Video)

I just got round to having a look at the mountain of footage I took from my last trip to the UK. The last Super Scratch Sunday (SSS) I could make was put on in London the day after the DMC world finals, with the hope some of the participants would be able to make an appearance….

What's in the water in Canada….

Skratcher T.O. "Basement Sessions"

Damn, enjoyed watching this… Been a while since I saw DJ's Dopey, D-Scratch and Grouch, so pleased to see them still representing on the cut. Such a dope set-up too getting so many DJs arranged facing each other in true battle style…Would love something like that here in Barcelona! Canada has just been churning out those dope turntablists for a while now… makes you wonder what's in the water over there!
